How to Measure a Room
When ordering you will need to include the width and height of your wall or opening to enable our production team to manufacture the wardrobe sliding doors to your unique measurements. Although it is imperative that the wardrobe measurements are precise we do allow an optimum amount of clearance to allow for any tight areas. The measurements needed will dictate the size of your wardrobe sliding doors so if your opening heights and widths differ we do ask for the smaller measurement to ensure the sliding wardrobe doors fit perfectly. Once the measurements are received all deductions for sub frames and tracking will be undertaken in house so there is no need to include deductions with the measurement you provide.
- Carefully measure the width and height of the opening for your sliding wardrobe kit. As your wardrobe is individual to you and made to measure it is important that the measurements provided are accurate to ensure the wardrobe doors are made correctly.
- We use metric measurements in our manufacturing process and have provided an imperial to metric convertor on our Wardrobe Wizard page.
- The maximum wardrobe height is 2450mm which is universal throughout all 4 ranges. if your opening is taller than 2450 mm we can provide a matching header panel to compensate for the increase in height. There is no minimum door height.
- Maximum wardrobe widths are dictated by a sliding wardrobe door no larger than 1070 mm. We have an optimum number of sliding doors for any width of opening, which range from a maximum of 2135 mm for a 2 door wardrobe, 3050 mm for a 3 door wardrobe and 4280 mm for a 4 door wardrobe. Should your opening be larger than 4280 mm please email for advice on what can be achieved.
- If your sliding wardrobe is not between 2 walls you will need to add an End Panel to your order. When entering in your width simply provide the maximum width you would like the wardrobe. All End Panel thicknesses will be deducted from the wardrobe width requested.
- Finally it may be of interest to consider a wardrobe interior kit. It makes sense to plan your interior around where the sliding wardrobe doors cross to avoid shelving being located behind any door overlap.
