Who are Deane Wardrobes? And Deane Direct?
Deane Wardrobes is a family company that has specialised in quality fitted bedrooms and sliding doors since 1978. Deane Direct was launched in 1999 in order to supply our made-to-measure door kits all over the UK.
What comprises a door kit?
A door kit normally consists of the doors, top and bottom tracks, wall frames and floor plinth. If you already have a wooden frame in place, please let us know whether you require our framework or not. This does not affect the price.
What size are the doors?
Our doors have no specific size as all our door kits are completely made to measure! We do recommend though, that no door exceeds 1 metre wide, to ease delivery and installation.
What if my floor, ceiling or walls are uneven?
There is a certain amount of tolerance in the track system to allow for unevenness in most floors and ceilings. Each bottom wheel is also individually adjustable, so you can adjust a door to lean slightly to close flush with a sloping wall. If it is very uneven, please call or email for advice.
What if my ceiling height exceeds your maximum door height?
Depending on how much higher it is, you can choose to put either a header in place, allowing you to still utilise the full height inside your robe, or fit a lid, which closes the top of your wardrobe. If you think you may need this, please call or email us.
What's the difference between the Heritage, Metro and Rio ranges?
The Heritage range is a steel framed door in a range of wood effect colours, as well as some metallic finishes. This range is only available as full-length mirrors, coloured glass or panels.
The Metro range is an aluminium-framed door that you can split into sections, with your choice of wood or glass in each section.
The Rio range is an MDF framed door with its own range of 9 wood effect finishes. This range can be made as a full panel or mirror door, or as a split-section door.

Do you send samples of the colours?
Yes. Samples of the glass colours or of the wood finishes can be mailed on request, subject to availability.
How much is delivery?
The delivery charge for all wardrobe sliding doors is detail in our Delivery
Fee’s page, We ask you check where the sliding doors be
dispatched to and check this page to find the appropriate fee. The fee
charged will not change no matter how many sliding doors you purchase,
this amount covers the cost of any delivery whilst allowing you to order
multiple numbers of wardrobe sliding doors.
Do you stock Stanley doors?
We are Stanley fabricators, not stockists. Our made to measure kits are based on the Stanley system, but we do not stock ready-made standard size doors.
Do you stock spare parts?
We keep in stock spare parts for the doors we manufacture. Standard size Stanley doors as bought in DIY stores differ slightly from our product, so we may not stock the part you require. Please feel free to email us, providing the part number where possible.
